Both for breakfast and lunch the pilgrims have several options. Early in the day, for example, and near the Sanctuary of the Pilgrim, is the bar La Roldana, open from 07.00 hours. A little later, around 08.00 hours, other establishments that also offer lunch meals open, such as Casa Simón. Many restaurants offer menus to pilgrims for a price of around 10 euros.

Famous local products include leeks from La Vega, cooked in various ways, delicious alone or as a side dish to other products. Other typical dishes are crab and snail casseroles and various dishes using locally grown vegetables, such as beans prepared in Sahagún style and pardina lentils.
