Established in the year 68 with the confluence of two rivers, it hosts the Regio VIIth Gemina and, with the passing of the centuries it became the main military and political centre of the northwest peninsula and the capital of the first kingdom of Leon.

Estuve en León hace unos años con unos amigos. Visitamos la Catedral de León (que podéis ver en la foto), la Casa Botines, el Hospital-Monasterio de San Marcos o el MUSAC, entre muchas otras cosas. Parada obligatoria de un par de días para todo aquellos peregrinos que hagan el Camino y quieran disfrutar de un gran patrimonio cultural.
