Luarca

• Luarca is the arrival point of the Cadavedo - Luarca stage (15.8 km) and the departure point of the Luarca - La Caridad stage (29.6 km) of the Northern Way.

Luarca is a parish of Valdés, within the Principality of Asturias. It has a population of approximately 5.000 inhabitants and is located 92 kilometers from Oviedo. This town is one of the places that make up the Camino del Norte and that its pilgrims have to cross to reach the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

One of the things that stands out most about this place is the predominance of white in the villa. Many of its buildings and homes are designed in this striking white color that gives the town greater clarity and light. This characteristic, in addition to its seafaring tradition, its monuments and the surrounding nature, make it one of the most tourist spots in Asturias.
