Recommended visits
If following the pilgrimage route, one of the first things encountered by the pilgrims is a monument to the Pilgrims, known as monument to the Gaiteiro (bagpiper). The Romanesque Church of Santa María Real do Cebreiro.
Pilgrims who wish to attend mass in the church may do so, in winter, at 18.00, and in summer, at 19.00. They officiate on Sunday mornings and in the evening, at 12.00 and 18.00 or 19.00, depending on the season (see the schedule on the Facebook page of the temple). Another obligatory visit is to the famous pallozas, (circular constructions of Celtic origin) located both in the surroundings of the temple and in the only street in O Cebreiro. During winter opening hours to visit the palloza are from Monday to Saturday, from 11.00 until 18.00.
