The church of St. Nicholas is the most famous monument in Portomarín. It is situated very close to the Plaza de los Condes de Fenosa, the heart of the town and close to Casa del Conde de la Maza. Also worth a visit is the Chapel of Virgen de las Nieves and the Reservoir Belesar, it is still the second biggest hydropower reservoir in Europe.
