How many Caminos de Santiago are there in Spain and in the Iberian Peninsula?

One of the best things about the Camino de Santiago is the multitude of routes we can take

The answer to this question is not at all simple, as there are dozens of routes throughout Spain, although most of them are variants or other beginnings of the main routes, which later end up joining them.

The Xunta de Galicia recognizes ten "official" routes of the Camino de Santiago, but this is only a way of classifying the most popular, it does not mean that the rest are not valid or are not allowed, in fact they have many attractions to offer.
